Congregations of the Pacific Northwest District

The Pacific Northwest District (PNWD) is one of nineteen districts that embrace the 1,103 self-governing congregations in covenant as members of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). The UUA is governed by a volunteer board of trustees elected by and from the districts. Each district is governed by a volunteer board of directors elected by its member congregations. District staff and volunteers provide local services to help congregations thrive; UUA staff and volunteers do the same on a national level.

The PNWD serves 59 member congregations in Alaska, western Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and covers over 800,000 square miles of land, the largest in the UUA. PNWD congregations currently count nearly 9500 adult members, sixth largest in the UUA. The Pacific Northwest District offers some programs cooperatively with three neighboring districts in the Pacific Western Region of the UUA: Mountain Desert, Pacific Central and Pacific Southwest.

PNWD Honor Society Congregations  

Indicates which congregations have made "fair share" contributions to the UUA Annual Program Fund and PNWD Dues for the most recently completed fiscal year. Congregations which are "fair share" Honor Societies receive a 50% discount on PNWD consulting fees, and are eligible for access to Chalice Lighter grants, UUA building and loan funds, and other honors and programs.
