About the Annual Meeting in Boise
by District Staff
From: January 2007

The PNWD Annual General Meeting in Boise is just around the corner! Join hundreds of district UUs as we gather February 16-18 for a weekend of learning, fellowship and decision–making related to how we serve the world together.

The Rev. Bill Sinkford, UUA President, will be delivering the keynote address. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet President Sinkford and hear his message of faith and his challenge to all of us to stand and speak for our values through action.

Nearly two-dozen workshops and special opportunities are offered. Presenters bring wisdom and experience from our own congregations, from the UUA and from their own profession or personal work.

An important part of the weekend is the annual PNWD business meeting. Delegates will be electing board members, voting on bylaws revisions and sharing in a conversation about ways to ensure “Vitality and the Extension of Faith in the PNWD.”

Did you know that PNWD is providing mileage-based incentives to help congregations send delegates to Boise? The PNWD Opportunity Fund is being tapped to offer Delegate Travel Equalization for congregational and ministerial delegates attending the 2007 AGM.

e hope every congregation will have delegate representation at AGM. Orange Delegate Certification Forms were sent in the December congregational packets – to be returned to the district office by February 9. Please steer your attendees and delegates to the meeting details and business materials available on our website.

The weekend is packed with fun, fellowship, learning and sharing. If your congregation is sending folks to AGM, you are invited to send a picture of your church or grounds to Sheryce Davis in Boise. Sheryce, AGM Program Coordinator, is compiling a slide show for Saturday representing all of the congregations present at AGM.

See you in Boise!
