Eliot Institute

August Eliot offers a multi-generational retreat at Seabeck Conference Center on Hood Canal (WA). Activities include a daily theme speaker and small groups discussions, in addition to a variety of social and recreational opportunities for all ages.

UUs and non-UUs are invited - programs are not UU-specific. Eliot Institute is an independent organization that is a PNWD Associate Member.

LREDA Summer Retreat

Summer Retreat for members of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA).

Eliot Creative Arts camp offers a multi-generational retreat at Seabeck Conference Center on Hood Canal (WA). This is a new six-day camp featuring specialists leading workshops in their areas of expertise, with creative artistry opportunities for all ages.

UUs and non-UUs are invited - programs are not UU-specific. Eliot Institute is an independent organization that is a PNWD Associate Member.

Russell Lockwood Leadership School

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR RLLS!

Current and potential congregational leaders are encouraged to attend Russell Lockwood Leadership School (RLLS), a week of intensive UU leadership training within a learning community offering deep fellowship. This is an annual residential program and will be held in 2014 during August 10-16 at Menucha Retreat & Conference Center, Corbett, OR (about 30 minutes east of Portland, overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge).

Your experience and the transformational effect on your congregation will be enhanced if you attend with a congregational team of 3 - 5. Professional staff are encouraged to join their leadership teams. Learning topics include: Leadership & Growth, Worship & Ritual, Music & Movement, Faith Formation & Technology, and Beloved Community. Learning environments include: Classroom/ multi-media, Covenant Groups (Small Group Ministry) experiential (worship planning, case studies, music & movement).

A flat congregational fee plus a per-person fee is required. Registration opens in February 2014. SPACE IS LIMITED and enrollment may be on selective basis to provide training for as many congregations as possible.

RLLS is sponsored by the districts of the UUA Pacific Western Region. It was developed in the Mountain Desert District (MDD) and will rotate through the west beginning in 2014. We anticipate PNWD will host in 2014 and 2015, followed by California (Pacific Central & Pacific Southwest Districts) in 2016 and 2017, then back to MDD for 2018 and 2019, and so on. UUs from throughout the Pacific Western Region may attend any year, regardless of location.
