Friday Evening Keynote PresentationIgniting the Flame: Unitarian Universalism in the Last Fifty YearsRev. Dr. Tom Chulak
Reverend Tom Chulak, D.Min., is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist who has recently retired from full-time ministry after serving at the local congregation, regional district and national levels of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Chulak has been growing and building UU congregations for nearly 35 years. He has fostered the UU faith as a minister for four congregations, focusing his passion on UU identity and its implications for congregations and the wider world.
At the national level, Chulak served as Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Director for New Congregations and the UUA Growth Team. Chulak has also served as a board member of the Alban Institute (a national organization that consults with congregations from many denominations) and has taught at two theological schools.
Gini Courter serves as Moderator of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). As the chief governance officer on the UUA Board of Trustees, the moderator presides at General Assemblies and chairs board meetings. It is the UUA's highest volunteer position. Her current term expires in mid-2013. If you ever want to see a Unitarian Universalist miracle, come see her in action, leading thousands of UU's in discussion and decision-making.
