The District Executive is co-employed by the district and UUA to oversee general operations and services of the district. She reports to the district board and the UUA Director of Congregational Life. The DE supervises the Program Specialist and District Administrator and manages district consulting teams related to Ministerial Transitions, Healthy Congregations, and District Assembly. Janine works out of her home office when she is not traveling throughout the PNWD to consult with congregations on matters of governance, stewardship, leadership development and growth. She works with clergy and congregational leaders to offer or arrange workshops, training, and consultation in the areas of assessing and improving church systems and infrastructure. |

The Program Specialist is co-employed by the district and UUA to support program development and assessment in our congregations. She reports to the District Executive and the UUA Director of Congregational Life. The Program Specialist manages district consulting teams related to lifespan religious education, youth and young adult ministries, social justice and environmental stewardship, among others. Tandi also supports professional development of religious educators, coaches emerging and small congregations, and encourages excellent worship, membership and faith development programs in congregations. Tandi works from her home office when she is not traveling throughout the PNWD serving congregations. She works with clergy and congregational leaders to offer or arrange on-line "webinars" and on-site workshops, training, and consultation in the areas of assessing and improving church systems and infrastructure. and continues half-time as PNWD Program Specialist. Tandi works directly with congregations and also supports and arranges additional services through district consultants.
Special note: Beginning with the 2011/2012 church year, Tandi serves as half-time Growth Strategy Specialist for the UUA's new Office of Strategic Growth. |

Developmental/Outreach Minister
|
 The Rev. Sarah Schurr joined PNWD staff as our Developmental/Outreach Minister. Sarah lives in Portland and began serving in 2010/2011 as quarter-time minister to the UU Fellowship of Fairbanks and to the Juneau UU Fellowship. For the 2011/2012 church year, she added quarter-time service as Consulting Minister to the West Hills UU Fellowship in Portland. Along with the usual services of ministry, Sarah provides special focus on issues related to growth and congregational development, including coaching lay leaders in developing high quality, welcoming worship, effective and engaging lifespan religious education, and ongoing lay pastoral care. Sarah also works quarter-time for PNWD, primarily as staff support to the 2012 District Assembly in Anchorage.

Training Coordinator

In collaboration with the District Executive, the Training Coordinator determines the In collaboration with the District Executive, the Training Coordinator determines the webinar and training events. Lori also coordinates all aspects of planning, scheduling, logistics, promotion, and production. She also works with the other districts in the UUA’s Pacific Western Region in planning webinar presentations.

PNWD contracts our accounting services with Leif Pedersen. As part-time district Bookkeeper, Leif manages the district’s bookkeeping and financial records.

Bookkeeping Assistant

The Bookkeeping Assistant processes accounts receivable and accounts payable and supports the work of the Bookkeeper. Mary is generally in the office two days a week.
