Send us the URL and we'll link to it in the ad.

Positions that serve more than one district in the Pacific Western Region, or seek candidates from any of the PWR member districts, may be posted on the PWR website jobs page.

Ministerial Positions 
Those positions that are at least 3/4-time may be found on the UUA Settlement System (may require secure log-in; contact for details). Settlement is open-ended service, called by vote of the congregation. Interim Ministers are contracted by the board to guide a congregation in transition for no more than two years, and are prohibited from accepting a call to Settlement there. Developmental Ministers are contracted by the board to serve a congregation during a transitional period that is three years or more; they may be called to Settlement by the congregation after no fewer than two years of service.

  • Olympia UU Congregation (WA) - full-time settlement to begin Fall 2016.
We also encourage our congregations seeking ministers for positions that are less than 3/4-time to post openings with the UUA Settlement System, but these searches are supported by PNWD and will also be listed in detail on this page, including directions for how to apply. Director of Religious Education (DRE) Cedars UU Church, Bainbridge Island, WA 
Cedars Church, Unitarian Universalist (serving Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap County, WA), is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Director of Religious Education (DRE) beginning September 1, 2014. This professional half-time position requires someone who cares deeply about liberal religious education and Unitarian Universalist principles and is committed to coordinating an extensive weekly program of adult volunteers for approximately 50 children and youth.
The DRE will report to the Co-ministers, and work closely with the Religious Education Committee. The successful candidate will be familiar with Unitarian Universalism and committed to its principles and values; possess a thorough and working knowledge of child and faith development; be knowledgeable about educational models and learning styles; and have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with computer-based word processing and database programs are expected.

Church Choir Director - Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Marysville, WA
The position is approximately 15 hours per month (includes planning time) for 10 months and pays $380 per month. Rehearsals are most Thursday nights, 7-8:30pm, and the choir performs at worship services on Sunday mornings approx. once per month. The position begins mid-August, 2014 (for initial planning time; rehearsals begin the first or second week of September) and ends in mid-June, 2015.

Church Choir Piano Accompanist - Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Marysville, WA
Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Marysville is seeking a part-time accompanist for their choir.
- One Sunday morning per month (for worship services, service at 10:30am)
- Most Thursday evenings (for choir rehearsals, 7 – 8:30pm)
- Must be able to sight-read well, 2 or more staves
- Must have good music and choir accompaniment skills
Payment: $80 per Sunday service (one service per month); $60 for choir rehearsals (most Thursdays). Please reply with cover letter and resume.

Children’s Religious Education Coordinator -Kittitas Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation,  Ellensburg, WA

Director of Religious Education/Lead Teacher - Wy’east Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Portland, OR
Wy'east UU Congregation is a small libal religious community with approximately 60 adult members and 20 children, birth through middle school age. This position is 8 hours per week, with approximately 3 hours on-site scheduled on Sunday mornings and 5 hours off-site on your own schedule. Pay is $17/hour.  Experience with children a must, experience with teaching and Unitarian Universalism highly desirable.  Must be able to pass a background check, and be physically able to lift and carry 20lbs. short distances.
