DISTRICT JOB OPENINGS

If your PNWD congregation has a job opening that you would like us to post, submit a brief description of the position to the district office. Include congregation name, position title, and contact person with phone number and email address. We encourage you to post the full position description on your website. Send us the URL and we'll link to it in the ad.

For job opportunities in the other three UUA districts of the Pacific Western Region (PWR), check the jobs postings at Mountain Desert District, Pacific Central District and Pacific Southwest District. Positions that serve more than one district in the Pacific Western Region, or seek candidates from any of the PWR member districts, may be posted on the PWR website jobs page.

Ministerial Positions 
Those positions that are at least 3/4-time may be found on the UUA Settlement System (may require secure log-in; contact transitions@uua.org for details). Settlement is open-ended service, called by vote of the congregation. Interim Ministers are contracted by the board to guide a congregation in transition for no more than two years, and are prohibited from accepting a call to Settlement there. Developmental Ministers are contracted by the board to serve a congregation during a transitional period that is three years or more; they may be called to Settlement by the congregation after no fewer than two years of service.

Other Positions 
 
Applications are being accepted for an Events Registrar to serve both the Pacific Northwest District and the Mountain Desert District. This position will work from a home office, so applicant may be located in either PNWD or MDD. Director of Religious Education – Kitsap UU Fellowship, Bremerton, WA

KUUF has an opening for a Director of Religious Education. This position is currently half time, with the possibility for added hours based on congregational growth. Coordinator, Washington UU Voices for Justice

Washington Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice, a statewide justice ministry and a 501(c)(4) organization, seeks a visionary Coordinator to lead the seven-year old organization into the future by forging connections among UU congregations, maintaining relationships with other State Legislative Networks (SANs), Unitarian Universalist justice organizations and advocacy allies, and developing effective events that mobilize Unitarian Universalists to work for social justice and influence policy. An important goal of the organization is to raise the visibility of Unitarian Universalist values and principles to public policy makers and the larger community, and does so by educating and organizing to support public policies that reflect UU principles of justice, compassion, sustainable living, and civic engagement.

This is a 1/4-time position, with the expectation that time worked will vary through the year with more time working during Washington’s annual legislative session. The position is Developmental thus the successful candidate will be employed on an interim basis and may, by mutual agreement, be awarded a continuing and perhaps expanded contract.
