DISTRICT JOB OPENINGS
If your PNWD congregation has a job opening that you would like us to post, submit a brief description of the position to the district office. Include congregation name, position title, and contact person with phone number and email address. We encourage you to post the full position description on your website. Send us the URL and we'll link to it in the ad.
For job opportunities in the other three UUA districts of the Pacific Western Region (PWR), check the jobs postings at Mountain Desert District, Pacific Central District and Pacific Southwest District. Positions that serve more than one district in the Pacific Western Region, or seek candidates from any of the PWR member districts, may be posted on the PWR website jobs page.
Opportunities in the UU community beyond PNWD are posted on the UUA website's jobs page.
Those positions that are at least 3/4-time may be found on the UUA Settlement System (may require secure log-in; contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details). Settlement is open-ended service, called by vote of the congregation. Interim Ministers are contracted by the board to guide a congregation in transition for no more than two years, and are prohibited from accepting a call to Settlement there. Developmental Ministers are contracted by the board to serve a congregation during a transitional period that is three years or more; they may be called to Settlement by the congregation after no fewer than two years of service.
Open positions of 3/4-time or greater in the PNWD include:
- Olympia UU Congregation (WA) - full-time settlement to begin Fall 2016
- UU Church of Vancouver (WA) - full-time settlement anticipated to begin Fall 2017
We also encourage our congregations seeking ministers for positions that are less than 3/4-time to post openings with the UUA Settlement System, but these searches are supported by PNWD and will also be listed in detail on this page, including directions for how to apply. Unless otherwise indicated, application materials should be sent to the District Office via email to email@example.com
Open positions less than 3/4-time in the PNWD include:
- Free Church Unitarian (Blaine, WA) - 1/4-time contract to begin in January, 2016. Applications are due to the District Office by September 30, 2015. For more information, see this summary.
To list a position at your PNWD member congregation, send firstname.lastname@example.org a brief description and link to the job description or contact for more information. Please include the closing date and/or advise when you are no longer accepting applications, so that we may remove listings that are no longer active.
