Languages of Love: Healing and Recovery
Twelve-step programs have a shared language of love that helps us sustain community even when troubled by one another's behavior. In this workshop, we will explore how we can use languages of love - from twelve-step and other recovery models - to meet the challenges of addiction and mental illness in our congregations, while staying true to our UU values. Breakout groups will provide tools for using a language of love in challenging situations, including Companionship Training, Having Difficult Conversations, and Ministry to Youth.
